I've been wanting to get some chickens. I thought you got Chicks in the Spring. But I guess it makes sense to get them in December, then maybe they'll be ready to start laying when the weather starts warming up? I read they don't or slow down laying in the cold months. So if I got babies in the Spring, they just be getting big enough to lay when it started getting cold, right? I don't know how fast they grow, though.
